I think a lot about habits and just how people go about their day to day. I find it interesting. One thing I find interesting is the sleep requirement. According to the CDC, adults need 7 or more hours of sleep a night. I think 7 to 9 is the usual window and we typically … Continue reading “7 to 9 Hours of Sleep”

Catching Up
Hi! It’s been awhile. It’s me, Andrew. I used to blog here fairly often. Been away for a little bit. Completely by accident but trying to get back on the blog track. So I figured I’d log what was keeping me away for a little bit. The WordPress drama. This is the item that feels like … Continue reading “Catching Up”
Text Spam this Election Cycle is Ridiculous
Has anyone else been getting a ridiculous number of spam texts this election cycle? I didn’t get this many in 2020. I don’t recall getting any in the midterms. I’m getting at least one daily now. Even reporting it as junk in iMessage. The funny part is I’d say 75% of them are Ohio related. … Continue reading “Text Spam this Election Cycle is Ridiculous”
Productivity Systems
Following up on The Verge’s miniseries on productivity and how people work…well the latest episode is about and productivity systems. As usual, definitely worth checking out! However for this week, and this follow-up I thought I’d write about my personal productivity system. Is it perfect? No. Is it ever evolving? Absolutely. In fact, in the … Continue reading “Productivity Systems”
Safari and View Transitions
I think View Transitions are really neat technology. When used properly, they give a site some polish that I think users appreciate (even if they don’t notice) and of course, it provides the native app feel that users are used to. View Transitions are enabled in Safari Technology Preview v. 192. However there are two … Continue reading “Safari and View Transitions”
Productivity and Work
David Pierce and the fine folks over at The Verge have a miniseries going on the Vergecast about productivity and work. This is a subject I think about a lot because I find it very interesting. Especially now in our current environment where there are so many ways to work. I’m not sure if I’ll … Continue reading “Productivity and Work”
A Little Site Update
It would be a bit of an understatement to say the past few months have been very stressful. I’ve let plenty of things slide that I wish I hadn’t and one of them has been a bit of a site clean up. I’ve done a couple of updates but there was some stuff hanging around … Continue reading “A Little Site Update”
Quick thought on the debate
The strategy between the two candidates appears to be “Don’t answer questions, just talk about how the other guy stinks”. Biden is a bit better than Trump in this regard, but overall, not great.
What are we playing this weekend? (6/22/2024)
Welcome back gang. What are we playing this weekend? Last night I bounced around between Destiny 2, Call of Duty, Halo, and even got a game of Rocket League in. I find that I try to pick up other games for a bit, just because I work on Destiny 2 so it’s good to have … Continue reading “What are we playing this weekend? (6/22/2024)”
What are we playing this weekend?
So what are we playing this weekend? I’ll be playing Destiny 2, and probably MLB The Show. I’m very much looking forward to College Football 25 coming out in July. The Show scratches the sports game itch for now. In Destiny 2, I’m still too under leveled to be useful in Trials, so I’ll probably … Continue reading “What are we playing this weekend?”
