Welcome back to the second edition of Things I Thought Were Cool This Week. A weekly blog posts of things I learned this week that I thought were cool. Spotify Blend A friend sent an invite for me to match him on Spotify Blend. This feature has been on Spotify for 2 years now but … Continue reading “Things I Thought Were Cool This Week – 6/18/2023 Edition”

Things I Thought Were Cool This Week – 6/11/2023 Edition
I’m going to try a new thing. I want to start sharing cool things I find throughout the week, and I’ll drop them in a blog post on Sundays. Since I came up with this idea today, the first edition here might be a little weak but over time I hope to come up with … Continue reading “Things I Thought Were Cool This Week – 6/11/2023 Edition”
Actually Protecting Kids
This Pride month, a trend has developed that is driving me insane. There is a response to almost any LBTQ+ topic that goes something like “Just leave kids alone”. I’ve seen it too much. It’s silly, it’s harmful, it’s (usually) just a smokescreen. Take this report from NBC News, and you’ll see the trend I’m … Continue reading “Actually Protecting Kids”
What Works For You – Personal Edition
I was inspired by this post from Chris Coyer, What Works From You. There was a line that was remarkable simple but it really struck a chord with me. “That fella’s very honest approach of we do what works for us is a nice sentiment. While perhaps easier said than done, I like how it … Continue reading “What Works For You – Personal Edition”
Thanks For Being Nice?
Last Friday, I took Dani to the urgent care vet. They were close to closing, but were kind enough to see him. Dani was relatively cooperative and, in the end, it didn’t end up being anything serious. I was really appreciative that they saw him. It was a long weekend of him not feeling 100% … Continue reading “Thanks For Being Nice?”
God Does Not Legislate
I don’t believe God has ever written a bill or passed a law in the United States. Until he does, I think deferring responsibility to him is shameful and makes one unfit to serve in government.

I Made a Little Download Time Calculator
It’s not really done but I made a little download time calculator. If you punch in your download size in GB and then your download speed in MB, it’ll tell you roughly how long it’ll take to download. I used MB for download as I think that’s a pretty common standard for home internet. I … Continue reading “I Made a Little Download Time Calculator”
I’m Here
Hey reader. It’s been a bit. I’m sorry about that. It’s been a little busy. My last post was on January 16th. Lightfall came out on February 28th. Probably pretty obvious why I was away from the blog for a bit. If you saw the Destiny 2 Year in Review or the Subclass Moments, I’m … Continue reading “I’m Here”
Hey so I’m over on Mastodon now
Since Musk took over Twitter, I’ve had a couple of blog posts explaining that Twitter just…feels different now and not in a good way. It’s not the only website that I sense has grown far beyond what it should be. I’ve blogged in the past how different Facebook feels now compared to when it first … Continue reading “Hey so I’m over on Mastodon now”
Thirty
I’m 30 today. I suppose that’s a milestone birthday. Doesn’t feel any different than 29. Why would it? 29 was yesterday. I do recognized that Father Time is undefeated and I need to develop some better habits to assist in my longevity. Thankfully, I’m not starting from 0 so that’s a good thing.
