Thanks For Being Nice?
Last Friday, I took Dani to the urgent care vet. They were close to closing, but were kind enough to see him. Dani was relatively cooperative and, in the end, it didn’t end up being anything serious. I was really appreciative that they saw him. It was a long weekend of him not feeling 100% but knowing the professionals saw him put us on the right path and made it easier for me to sleep.
Before I left the nurse said “Thank you for being so nice to us”. I found that surprising and a week later, I still do. Is that where we are now? Where we have to say thank you for being nice instead of it being the baseline? Kinda bummed me out to think that folks are mean to the people who help animals.
